Grant Recipients

John McPherson

Our first whistleblower grant has been given to John McPherson of Balitmore Maryland. Mr. McPherson blew the whistle on Life Parners Holdings, and was responsible for the investors recovering over $1 billion on their $1.2 billion investments. Mr. McPherson describes his involvement as follows, “My journey as a whistleblower began over a decade ago when I first became aware of what I believed was a billion dollar fraud that was similar to a Ponzi scheme and involved 22,000 unsuspecting investors.”

David McBride

David McBride is an Australian whistleblower who from 2009-2017 was an army officer with the Australian Army, completing two deployments to Afghanistan. In 2013, McBride grew concerned that the Australian High Command was complicit in hiding murders of Afghan civilians from the public. McBride describes the impact he has had as follows, “After a story was broadcast on ABC730 based on the documents I gave to reporters (The Afghan Files), a large judicial inquiry took place revealing at least 39 murders. More whistleblowers came forward in 2019 and now one SAS soldier has been charged with murder, more likely will follow.” McBride is not only an Australian hero, but a force against injustice worldwide. In June of 2023, our foundation granted him $30,000 in aid of the backlash he has received from the Australian Government.
